The figures below are gathered from a number of sources.  Keep in mind that there are always arguments over which is the smallest (by weight? by length?) and which is the largest (by weight? by length?).  I believe what I have gathered is pretty reliable, but it should spur you to do your own research.

Birds

North African Ostrich – 9ft tall; 345 lbs

Bumble Bee Hummingbird – 2.5 in; 0.06 ounces

Mammals

Blue Whale – 80 ft; 150 tons

African Elephant - 10 feet at shoulder; 5 tons

Kitti’s Hognosed (Bumble Bee) Bat – 1.2 in; 0.07 ounces

Reptiles

Leatherback Turtle – 1600 pounds

Australian Saltwater Crocodile – 27 feet

A two lizard tie: S. parthenopion, and S. ariasiae -  both 0.5 in

Amphibians

Chinese Giant Salamander – 5ft 11in

Cuban Poison Arrow Frog – 0.4 inches

Fish

Whale Shark – 45 feet

Photocorynus spiniceps - 0.25 inches

Invertebrates

Giant Squid – 59 ft; 1 ton

Rotifers – less than 0.12 in
